Whats new in MultiWar?
Changes from v1.00 to v1.01:
- Mouse cursor now hidden during board enlarging in MWEdit
- Mouse drawing area grows with the board in MWEdit
Changes from v0.30 to v1.00:
- Fill option added in MWTAPE
- Mouse support of terrain and piece drawing in MWEdit added
- Mouse drawing and color selection added in MWTAPE
- Help is now available at any time in MWTAPE and MWEdit
- New scenario name display bug in MWEdit fixed
- Victory Squares now generate new units of the same type as the
unit occupying the square
- Scenarios can now optionally have terrain which modifies defense
values
- Scenarios can now optionally have combat victories generate
victory points for the victorious side
- Both MWTAPE and MWEdit now ask if the user wishes to save before
exiting
- Side names added
- Ability to edit victory point squares in MWEdit with the 'e' key

- The status bar is now color-coded for the side currently
operative in MultiWar
- During the fill operation, the palette can now be accessed with
the mouse
- Ties are now handled correctly by MultiWar
Changes from v0.20 to v0.30:
- Initiative has been added. Team order is randomly chosen at the
start of each round
- Mouse cursor flickering in MultiWar has been significantly
reduced
- The right mouse button now centers the board about the clicked-
on square in MultiWar
- Failed attacks now sometimes result in the death of the
attacking unit
- MWEdit now allows painless creation of new scenarios
- Checking for MULTIWAR.CFG existence has been added. Defaults
are used if the configuration file is not found
- Help is now available at any time in MultiWar by pressing the
'Help' button
- MWEdit now displays an informative message whenever a save or
exit command fails
- In MWEdit, the current side is now reduced if the number of
sides is reduced below the current side
- MWEdit now checks that there is at least one piece for every
side before saving
- Mouse click and keyboard buffers are now emptied after scenario
selection
Changes from v0.12 to v0.20:
- Mouse support for piece selection, movement (limited long-
distance movement intelligence), and combat
- Mouse support for scenario selection and other choices
- A round limit of 0 is accepted by MultiWar Editor and is
considered no round limit by MultiWar
- Configuration file and editor added
- "Drawing" feature added to MultiWar Editor--now the cursor acts
like a pen with the current piece/terrain
- Now some selections "cycle" when you try to move below the first
or above the last
Changes from v0.11 to v0.12:
- Round in which team was eliminated column added in the Victory
Points Tally Screen
- Still fewer board redraws when going to a different unit
- "Out of rounds" screen fixed to display true last round number
Changes from v0.10 to v0.11:
- Maximum number of rounds added
- Improved scrolling speed
- Fewer slow board redraws
- Ctrl-q/a in MWTAPE changes the current color halfway up/down the
palette (by 128)
- Display of transparent color in MWTAPE is now consistent
- Victory points now displayed in the color of the team that
acquired them
- Percentage of total victory points column added in the Victory
Point Tally Screen
- Scenario names instead of DOS filenames displayed in the
Scenario Selection Screen
